This Privacy Policy explains how webquest.site ("the Site," "we," "I") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services. The Site is operated by Alice as an individual.
By using webquest.site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any display name you choose. When you make a payment, your payment is processed by Creem. We do not receive or store your full credit card number or billing details. Those are handled entirely by Creem.
When you use the generators, we collect the content you input, including topics, grade levels, subjects, and any text you enter into forms. When you complete a practice session, we store your responses, AI feedback, and scores so that your progress can be saved and resumed.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Your input content, such as topics, grade levels, and exercise prompts, is sent to Google Gemini API to generate content. This content is processed according to Google's API usage policies. We do not use your inputs to train AI models, and we do not share personally identifiable information with Gemini beyond what is necessary to generate the requested content.
Payment information is handled entirely by Creem. We receive only a confirmation of payment status and your subscription tier. We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or any sensitive financial data.
We retain your account information and exercise history for as long as your account is active.
For Free users, generated exercises and practice session records are retained for 30 days from the date of creation. After 30 days, the content becomes inaccessible but the record entry is preserved. Upgrading to Pro restores access and extends retention to permanent.
For Pro users, all data is retained permanently until you delete your account or request deletion.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and associated content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or financial compliance purposes, such as payment transaction records.
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the Site to function. These include session cookies that keep you logged in and security tokens that protect against cross-site request forgery.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that track you across other websites.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent certain features of the Site from working correctly, including staying logged in.
When you create an account, you will receive transactional emails related to your account activity. These emails are necessary for the service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
If you have consented to marketing communications, you may also receive emails about new features, product updates, and occasional promotions. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us directly. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails.
webquest.site is intended for use by adults, including teachers, parents, and adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Students and minors who access practice sessions through a shared Practice Link are not required to create an account. They do not submit personal information to the Site unless they choose to sign in. We recommend that minors use the Site only with the supervision of a parent, teacher, or guardian.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete that information promptly.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, secure database access controls through Neon, and authentication token management. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access the data we hold about you, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to request deletion of your data, and the right to withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
