These Terms of Service govern your use of webquest.site ("the Site," "we," "I"), operated by Alice as an individual. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Description of Service

webquest.site provides AI-assisted tools for generating WebQuest activities and Critical Thinking exercises for educational purposes. The Site offers a free tier with limited monthly credits, a Pro subscription plan, and one-time export purchases.

The tools on this Site are designed to help teachers, parents, students, and adult learners create and practice with educational materials. All AI-generated content is intended as a starting point and should be reviewed and adapted by the user before use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Site's paid or account-based features.

Minors may access practice sessions through a shared Practice Link without creating an account. We recommend that minors do so only under the supervision of a parent, teacher, or guardian. By sharing a Practice Link with a minor, the adult who created that link takes responsibility for ensuring appropriate use.

3. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported third-party login provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep that information current. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that are used in violation of these terms.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not harm others. You agree not to:

  • Submit content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Use the Site to generate content intended to deceive, manipulate, or harm students or minors
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Site in an automated or unauthorized manner
  • Use the Site to generate content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, payment requirements, or access controls
  • Use the Site in any way that disrupts or damages the service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. AI-Generated Content

The content generated by the Site's tools is produced by AI and is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional educational assessment, psychological evaluation, or expert advice.

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, outdated information, or content that is not appropriate for all audiences. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before using it with students or sharing it with others.

Scores and feedback produced by the Critical Thinking Exercise Generator are intended to support learning and reflection. They are not clinical assessments and should not be treated as definitive evaluations of a learner's ability.

Suggested resources and links generated by the tools may not always be accurate or accessible. You are responsible for verifying any external resources before using them in an educational setting.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Site, including topics, prompts, and any text you enter into the generators. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Generated content

The AI-generated exercises, worksheets, rubrics, and other outputs produced by the Site are provided to you for your personal and educational use. You may use, adapt, share, and distribute generated content for non-commercial educational purposes. You may not resell generated content as a standalone product or represent it as entirely your own original work in a commercial context.

Site content

All original content on the Site, including the design, interface, documentation, and non-generated text, is owned by Alice and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute Site content without permission.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

The Pro plan is billed monthly at $5.90 per month or annually at $49.90 per year. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain Pro access until that date.

One-time export purchases unlock export and privacy features for a single exercise only.

All payments are processed by Creem. We do not store your payment details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Creem's terms of service.

For any payment or billing inquiry, please contact us at the email address listed in Section 12. We handle each request individually.

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will notify existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. Your continued subscription after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

8. Free Tier Limitations

Free accounts receive 50 credits per month, shared across supported generators. This allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month.

We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time. We will provide reasonable notice to registered users before reducing free tier allowances.

9. Public Library

Content generated by Free users may be eligible for inclusion in the Site's public library, subject to automated quality checks. Free users may not disable public library inclusion unless they upgrade to Pro or purchase a one-time export. Pro users may choose to keep their generated content private.

Content in the public library is visible to all visitors and may be indexed by search engines. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you allow to be published publicly does not contain personal information, copyrighted material, or inappropriate content.

10. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any particular educational purpose. The tools on this Site are designed to assist, not replace, the judgment of educators, parents, and learners.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or its generated content.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Site after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.
